WordPress 3.6 version “Oscar” is (finally) out of the bag!!!
Matt just announced the release of WP 3.6 version
What is "Oscar" all about:
- New Twenty Thirteen Theme that works and looks good in every device possible.
- Media native support with build in HTML5 Media Player, just copy and paste your media file or link url, publish and enjoy!
- Revamped Revisions, after saving change of your post content you can compare it with older versions using a simple scroll interface along with a line by line change timeline.
- Upgraded Meny Editor easier to use and work with.
- Post Locking feature that warns you when another user is editing the same post or page but also giving the ability to overtake control of that very post/page.
- New Autosave Features, now each user has his/her own autosave stream saved both locally and on server.

Before applying any WordPress version upgrade its better to take a backup of your WordPress installation(files and database), when backup is done upgrade first any plugins waiting in line and then upgrade your WP version.
